Learn the signs. Say something. The Say Something Anonymous Reporting System Hotline is now available to our students and families. This Anonymous Hotline is monitored 24/7 by trained crisis counselors. The SS-ARS allows youth and adults to securely submit anonymous safety concerns – anytime, from anywhere – to help identify and intervene upon at-risk individuals before they hurt themselves or others. The system enables school administrators and law enforcement to create effective interventions and to help prevent violence, suicide, bullying, self-harm and other forms of threatening behavior. 1-844-5-SAYNOW

Surry County School Nutrition is proud to announce the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended free meals for children ages 1-18 through December 31, 2020, enabling summer meal programs providing free breakfasts and free lunches to continue operating. What this means for students in the Surry County School System is that the free, USDA meal services families benefited from during the spring and summer of 2020 will continue.
A huge shoutout to our wonderful child nutrition staff for working so hard to provide and serve meals to our students.
