The Surry County Board of Education encourages schools to develop and maintain a strong volunteer program that provides varied opportunities for parents and members of the community to be active partners in the support of the instructional program and school climate.  All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Request for Criminal Background Check Form.

Volunteers may apply at levels 1, 2, 3, or 4 or volunteer coach or driver.  Anytime a volunteer changes levels a new form must be completed and approved before a change in level can occur.  Please contact the school’s principal to obtain a volunteer form if interested.  (See SCSB Policy Code 5015 and SCSB Policy Code 5015-P)
