Effective April 2020, Surry County Schools will no longer be accepting requests for distribution of paper flyers. The district has transitioned to a new electronic form of distribution.

Surry County Schools is partnering with Peachjar, an electronic distribution program.  Flyers from community organizations will be distributed through a weekly email, posted on school websites, and on the district mobile app.  This process will ensure parents receive important school and community information in multiple, environmentally friendly ways, allow communication with parents within today's preferred electronic mediums, and allow community partners to track parental engagement and communication effectiveness.

Students and the educational program must be the focus of the school system. In order to maintain an educational environment conducive to learning and to minimize intrusions upon instructional time, distribution of non-school material shall be limited in accordance with SCSB Policy Code 5210 and SCSB Policy Code 5240.
