Families may apply online for their children to receive free or reduced price school meals. Online applications will be sent form a secure website directly to SCS School Nutrition. No need to worry about filling out a paper form that could be lost or misplaced. The on-line application is easy, secure and convenient! Families that receive Food and Nutrition Services (FNS or Food Stamps) benefits are directly certified.
All elementary schools in the Surry County School System are accepting kindergarten registration for children who are 5 years old on or before August 31, 2019. Children who are 4 years old on or before August 31, 2019, may be eligible for Pre-K.
