  • Student Running "Hi, I am Josh Key, a member of our G.R.O.W. Strong Running Club.  We meet once a week on Tuesdays after school. We go over character traits like respect, self-discipline, sportsmanship, perserverance, self-motivation, resilience, and preparation.  My main goal is to finish a 5K without walking.  When we first started practicing, we started out running a few minutes then walking and gradually increasing our running minutes.  We run hills and do the pacer test to help prepare us for our upcoming 5K.  As of right now we have 18 registered to do the Rosy Cheeks.  It is fun we listen to music and it pumps us up.  My motto is 'keep pounding it' just like the Carolina Panthers.  We have tried to become more responsible in setting personal goals for ourselves and reaching new limits.  Mrs. Clayton pushes us to reach new limits.  I am excited to participate in my first 5K!"  Josh Key, 3rd grade, Shoals Elementary
