How Do I Log Into That?

Google Apps
- This includes your district Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Classroom, Google docs/apps, YouTube, and Chromebook login.
- Go to Google Mail or link from the district/school website.
- Username format is last name followed by first letter of first name@surry.k12.nc.us. Some users may use first two letters of first name.
- The password format is the first three letters of last name followed by the last five numbers of your SSN.
Human Resource Management System (HRMS)
- This is where you go to see your workshop history.
- Go to Employee Directory. Please use Internet Explorer or Mozilla.
- Click on “HRMS (Credit History).”
- Enter your SSN or your employee number
- Click “Lookup.”
NCEES
- This is used for teacher evaluations.
- Go to NCEdCloud. Select the desired tool from the list.
- Username is your UID number. Speak with your school’s data manager to obtain this.
- The password is user-determined.
PowerSchool
- This is used for grades and attendance.
- Go to NCEdCloud. Select the desired tool from the list.
- Username is your UID number. Speak with your school’s data manager to obtain this.
- The password is user-determined.
PowerSchool Learning
- This is a district-wide learning management system.
- Go to PowerSchool Learning or link from the district/school website.
- Use your district Google account to access PowerSchool Learning. You will be prompted to enter that information when logging in.
- The password is the same as your Google account.
SchoolNet (Home Base)
- Here you can find instructional resources for use in your classroom, assessment tools, and more. SCS uses this as a primary tool for student benchmarks. PLCs use this tool to collect and analyze student date.
- Go to NCEdCloud. Select the desired tool from the list.
- Username is your UID number. Speak with your school’s data manager to obtain this.
- The password is user-determined.
STAR (Professional Development System)
- This is the system you use to register for workshops and submit workshop evaluations to receive credit. Note: you must be on the SCS network (not as a guest) to access.
- Go to STAR for Workshop Registrations. Please use Internet Explorer or Mozilla.
- The login to STAR is the same as your email login.
- Click on “View Workshops.”
- Select the workshop you wish to attend.
- Click “Register” at the top right of the screen.
- Enter your employee number and click on “Retrieve Employee Data.”
- If the workshop give Content credit, you will need to answer questions about license area.
- Click on “Submit Registration.”
- You will receive an email confirming your registration.
- After the workshop meets, you must complete an evaluation to receive credit.
- At the STAR homepage, click on “Evaluations.”
- Enter employee number. Verify employee number.
- Select the workshop attended from a dropdown list.
- Rate the workshop and click “Submit.”
TimeKeeper
- This is your tool you will use to clock into work daily. You can also check your timesheet, checks, leave balances, and more.
- Go to SCS website or link from the school/district website.
- Username is typically the last four of your social. For some teachers, it can be the last three or the last five.
- The password is user-determined.
Windows
- This is used any time you access a Window-based PC, anywhere in the district, and allows access to shared folders as well as teacher-level Internet filtration. When you are finished, do not forget to log out!
- Username is last name followed by first letter of first name. Note: some users may use the first two letters of first name.
- The password is the first three letters of last name followed by last five of your SSN.
