Our PTO fundraiser is coming to a close. Please make sure your student turns in all money and orders tomorrow morning!

Miss Ramey’s class has been learning to calculate speed in science! They took their learning outside yesterday and today took time themselves doing different exercises in different lengths of distance to calculate their speed!

During Media, Second graders put Snap Circuits together!

Please join us in recognizing Autism Awareness and National Child Abuse Prevention month by wearing a Flat Rock shirt on Monday, your favorite boots or shoes on Tuesday, crazy socks on Thursday, and the color for both of these causes, blue on Friday.

During Media, Third grade students read Freedom on the Menu with Mrs. Edwards and then did an extension activity with Mrs. Johnson from Mt. Airy Public Library!

It was such an honor today to hear from one of the Flat Rock Six, Mr. Frankie. Mr. Frankie traveled to our school, HIS school, to share a story about turning tragedy into triumph. Mr. Frankie was in the school when it caught fire 68 years ago. He made it out with burns on about 70% of his body and shared how he overcame the hardships that came with that.
Thank you, Mr. Frankie, for sharing your story. Our 3rd-5th graders will remember this for a long time to come!

We can't wait to see you there!
