#SCSUpdates | Due to a light dusting of snow on a number of roadways in the Flat Rock, Slate Mountain, and Westfield communities, Surry County Schools will operate on a 3-hour delay on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

First Grade celebrated Thanksgiving by reading the book, Balloons Over Broadway. Students decorated their own balloons and engineered them to be carried by BeeBots. The BeeBots were coded to travel through the hallway!




Ms. Coe’s class completed a Shape Hunt around the school today to look for the 2D shapes they have been learning about!





We love our staff at Flat Rock Elementary! For American Education Week, which was the week of November 18-22, Flat Rock SAVE Promise Club / Student Council delivered “Thank You " notes and a treat to our staff to celebrate them and show them appreciation. The note states, “We are so lucky to have you! Thank you for all you do!”
