Due to a hazardous weather outlook and winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service for our area, Surry County Schools will transition to a Remote Learning Day on Monday, December 8, 2025, for students and staff.

This means all schools and facilities will be closed for students and staff. Elementary students should complete work in their remote learning packets, and middle and high school students should access their assignments on Canvas.

With the uncertainty of morning conditions, the district feels this is the safest option for students, staff, and the families we serve. Thank you, and please stay safe!
