This is Hollie Lyons, Chief Communications Officer with Surry County Schools, with an important weather update.Due to the potential for black ice across the county, Surry County Schools will transition to a 3-Hour Delay with an option to close tomorrow, Tuesday, December 9, 2025. The district will continue to monitor road conditions into the morning with Surry County DOT and other Surry County Emergency Management Officials.
