Good afternoon. This is Hollie Lyons, Chief Communications Officer for Surry County Schools, with an important weather update. 

Due to winter weather conditions across the county, Surry County Schools will be closed for students and staff on Monday, February 2, 2026. The February 2nd Board of Education meeting will transition from in-person to virtual, and will begin at 5:30 pm. A link to the meeting will be posted online tomorrow. Thank you, and please stay safe!
