#SCSUpdates | Due to an unforecasted burst of snowfall, Surry County Schools will transition to a 3-hour Delay with an option to close today, Thursday, February 20, 2025. The district is turning buses around, and students that have already been picked up will be taken home. #SCSUpdates | Surry County Schools will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow, Friday, January 17, with limited bus routes. We have seen great improvement in road conditions across Surry County. However, some bus turnarounds continue to be inaccessible due to snow removal piles. This means buses will not travel on dirt roads, dead-end roadways, or cul-de-sacs. Families who live on these roadways, please reference our limited bus routes list on our website to locate your child’s corner stop. Based on the improved road conditions, there will be no community stops tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to keep students safe. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
