On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Andrew Edwards, a Surry Early College High School of Design student traveled to Chicago, Illinois to compete in the NAQT Individual Player National Quiz Bowl Championship Tournament. This tournament is an annual quiz bowl competition determining the best individual high school player in the nation. Andrew qualified by placing in the top 6th in the state, earning an “All-State” designation! Congratulations to Andrew and great job representing Surry Early College so well on the national stage!
