On Friday, April 17, 2026, the Surry Early College High School of Design SAVE Promise Club had the opportunity to attend a Child Abuse Awareness ceremony in downtown Dobson.
It was a meaningful time spent coming together as a community to stand up for the safety, protection, and well-being of every child. Seeing so many people united for such an important cause was truly powerful.
Surry Early College is especially proud that one of their own, Alexis Pebbles, had the courage to speak and share her story. Her strength and bravery were truly inspiring and a powerful reminder of why this work matters so deeply.
Surry Early College SAVE Promise students continue to be voices for change, choosing kindness, awareness, and action. SECHSD is proud of the SAVE Promise Club for showing up and making a difference because every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and protected.
