The Surry County School Board recognized David, a fourth-grade student at Westfield Elementary School, as the Elementary School Leader of the Quarter on November 3, 2025.
David is new to the United States from Russia and has already shown great leadership and determination. He uses a translation app to help him learn and communicate, always tries his best, and greets others each morning with a big smile and a high-five. David’s kindness, courage, and positive attitude make him a wonderful example of what it means to be a true leader. Congratulations to David and all the Leaders for Surry County Schools.
