Surry County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. This delay will help with visibility for bus drivers and allow time for temperatures to increase.

Surry County Schools will be closed with an optional teacher workday tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2024. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that will be in effect until 7:00 AM Tuesday morning. There are snow-covered roads in the northern parts of Surry County, so please exercise caution if planning to travel.

The Literacy Committee at Westfield has invited Santa to come to visit the students tomorrow December 8. He will be reading books to the children, having a craft time and sharing his favorite treats, cookies!
Congratulations to these students for winning the Hoop Shoot Contest for their age division here at Westfield Elementary School. They have earned an opportunity to compete against other student qualifiers across Surry County in January of 2024. We are so proud of our Wildcats and wish them the best of luck!

Book Tasting is this Friday during Specials time at school. All students will go to the Media Center Cafe to sample books and have treats. They can bring "tips" to give for donation. All proceeds will go to the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
