This week, our PTO will start a school store in the mornings from 7:45 - 8:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays; the school store will start this Thursday. If students are interested in purchasing pencils, erasers, book markers, waterproof stickers or any of the other fun items they have available for sale, they should bring money to school on Thursday this week. We will have picture retakes on Tuesday. Also on Tuesday, 2nd grade travels to see the play Frozen, and the Lego Robotics team meets after school until 4:00. On Wednesday, we will be having the FRES Science Fair, and the running club meets after school. On Thursday, the Book Battle Team and the School Improvement Team meet after school until 4:00.There is no school on Friday, November 10th for Veterans Day.

During Unity Day and the discussions about antibullying and inclusion, EVERY student traced their hands and arms and wrote their names on hearts. The hearts symbolize all of our students, and the hands/arms are underneath as a symbol of supporting each other and lifting each other up.
Special shout out to our student council for helping Mrs. Gammons put it all together.

Hello Dragons! 👋🏼 This is your principal Blair Lambert with information for the week. On Monday, our Lego Robotics team meets after school until 4:00. Report cards also go home on Monday. On Tuesday, students are welcome to wear costumes to school as long as they do not wear masks or carry scary props as these items may scare younger children. The running club stays after school until 4:00 on Wednesday. On Thursday, the FRES Book Battle Team meets after school until 4:00. Our book fair will be going on Monday through Thursday this week when students go to media. Family night will be Thursday after school until 5:30; please join us in the media center if you can. There is no school for students on Friday, November 3rd as it is a staff development day.
Our SAVE Promise Club had lunch with Superintendent Dr. Reeves to discuss our goals for the year! They also got a sneak peek of the gym renovations, which increased the anticipation even more.

Red Ribbon Week is a time to promote awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. It was created in 1988 in honor of Enrique Camarena. Next week we will have special activities to educate our students on the dangers of drugs. Please help your children celebrate by participating in the fun themes next week!
