2nd Grade learned how cranberries are grown and harvested. Using this information, students worked as a team to create rafts to float quarters. Each team had to see how many quarters it would hold before their raft sank.

Principal Update 11.7.23 Good Evening Mountaineers! This is your principal Matt Scott with a quick update. My message on Sunday mistakenly said that Good News will meet on Wednesday and Thursday. Good News will only meet on Wednesday, like normal. Today your Rada fundraising books were sent home with students. This is an easy fundraiser and great for Christmas presents. There are links on our website and Facebook page that take you directly to the fundraiser attached to our school. On Thursday, we want to invite our students to wear Red, White, and Blue as we celebrate and honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. Also on Thursday, we have a special treat coming home with all students. Carolina Ink has generously donated a Mountain Park shirt to all our students and staff. We’ll be sending those home on Thursday. Those are the only updates for tonight. I look forward to seeing our Mountaineers back on campus tomorrow.
