The Yadkin Valley Honor Band Concert scheduled for Friday will now take place on February 2nd at 7:00 at Elkin High School.
Around 2:00 p.m. today, a 12-inch water main ruptured approximately half a mile from East Surry High School. Thanks to the quick response of the Town of Pilot Mountain and the Surry County Schools Maintenance Department, the situation has been addressed and the water main has been successfully repaired. School will operate on regular schedule tomorrow.
However, there is a Boil Water Advisory for the Town of Pilot Mountain at this time. Please be assured that this will not impact child nutrition services tomorrow. We have made arrangements for bottled water, and students are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to ensure they stay hydrated throughout the day.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this unexpected situation. The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities, and we want to assure you that every effort is being made to maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.
Good Evening Ravens!
This is your principal Molly Anderson.
We will have benchmark testing Tuesday and Wednesday for all 6th-8th graders. The 8th grade will have their science benchmark on Thursday. Please make every effort to have students at school by 8:00 am.

Downtown Pilot Mountain has graciously supported the families in the East district who are in need once again. Christi Craig, the event coordinator, has planned the Polar Express day for the last two years and donated the proceeds to the schools in the East district. The schools use the funds to purchase essential items for students and families in need. We are so grateful to have such a supportive community in the East district. Thank you again to Christi Craig and the town of Pilot Mountain for your generosity!
Reminder: Report Cards go home on Friday, January 12, 2024.
