Good evening Mountain Park! Fall picture day is tomorrow. On Thursday, students of the quarter will be traveling to Mazzini’s for lunch to celebrate. This week will be Fall Spirit Week. Please look for a flyer that went home last week with details. Looking ahead, our PTO’s Fall Festival will be happening at school from 6:00 - 8:00 on October 28th. Please mark your calendars. We truly appreciate all the support for our current fundraisers. We have already raised over half of our school-wide goal for our chocolate fundraiser! Thank you again for all you do for our school community.

Tomorrow is picture day! No money is due tomorrow. School pictures provide a memory that will last a lifetime.
Can you guess the staff members?

Hello Mountaineers! I hope we are not asking too much of all of you. However, we currently have three fundraising events going on at MPES. Today is the first day of our official fundraiser at school. Please look for a letter coming home today that details all the prizes. A HUGE “THANK YOU” to all of you who have already started selling chocolate! Additionally, our student council is starting to put together sunshine boxes to send to western NC. Please send in small items suitable for these boxes if you are willing to help. Please call the school if you have questions. The 3rd fundraiser going on is a “change war” between classes. The change war is raising money for the Surry County Schools Education Foundation which supports field trips and other educational experiences for students. We greatly appreciate your assistance with any or all of the projects. Thanks again for making Mountain Park a wonderful community to learn and grow up in.

Our chocolate fundraiser is in full force! Check out the awesome prizes your student can earn by helping raise money for our school!

Help us send a smile to our friends in Western North Carolina!

Good evening Mountain Park. This week, our fundraiser officially starts on Monday. Please look for information coming home with your child tomorrow. On Tuesday, we will have Mountain Park Spirit Night at El Agavero restaurant in Mount Airy. Although this restaurant is a distance away, the owners are generous with their school support. Please join us if you can! There is no school for students on Thursday or Friday. Thursday is parent-teacher conference day. If your child’s teacher has not contacted you with an appointment time, please call the school. Looking ahead, fall picture day is Monday, October 14th. If you are interested, Salvation Army sign ups for Christmas assistance will be October 21-25 at the Salvation Army Church in Mount Airy. Information can be found on their website. Thank you for your continued support of Mountain Park Elementary.

We had so much fun for Rock Your School that we had to make another post!

Chocolate went home yesterday for our Fall fundraiser and we already have a whole box sold! Great job, Declan!
Who's next to sell their box?

Mountain Park was rocking today! Our building was transformed into a school of rock and exciting learning.

It's National Custodian Day and we couldn't let this day pass without expressing our gratitude for our two favorite custodians. We are so thankful for Ms. Rhonda and Mr. Andrew.

It's time for our Change War! From now until the end of the month we are collecting change. The class that raises the most money will win an ice cream party!

Mrs Arrington and Mrs Pierce’s class learned about how solids and liquids can make a gas. They used ice cream and grape soda to make purple fizzy cows.

Out of an abundance of caution, Surry County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. This delay will help with visibility for bus drivers and allow additional time for families to safely commute to school campuses. Students who ride the bus should plan to arrive at their bus stop two hours later than they normally would. Thank you, have a good evening, and be safe tomorrow!
