What was that flying in Mountain Park yesterday? It was our creative student Balloons over Mountain Park. Our 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade was a huge success!

Hello Mountain Park. On Tuesday this week, students will be competing in the annual Turkey Trot to try to win a free turkey. There is no school on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. The 5th grade class proudly graduated from the D.A.R.E. program after a 10-week course with Officer Latza. The special guest speaker, Judge William F. Southern, spoke to the students about perseverance and his own experience in the D.A.R.E. program. Oliver Marshall, Layla Osborne, and Aisley Williams were selected to read their essays at the graduation ceremony, and they did a fantastic job representing what the class learned during the program. We couldn’t be more proud of how these 5th graders represented themselves today.
Congratulations!

5th graders took in the novel “Tuck Everlasting” this week by candlelight to match the 1800s setting. After reading each day, students added to their booklets to dig deeper into the characters and meanings behind the novel. We didn’t want the novel to end!
