Hello Mountaineers. If your child would like to wear a costume tomorrow, that is fine. However, please do not allow your child to come to school wearing a face mask or carrying any type of prop for safety reasons. Also, please be aware that both student council and the running club will meet after school until 3:45 on Monday, November 4th.

Good evening Mountain Park! We are so excited for our PTO’s Fall Festival tomorrow night in the gym from 6:00 - 8:00! There will be a costume contest so please come dressed for the occasion. Thank you all for your support. Also on Monday, the MPES Running Club meets after school until 3:45. This week on Tuesday, report cards will be sent home. On Wednesday, kindergarten is traveling to the Boo Bash in Dobson after lunch. The Good News Club meets after school on Wednesday. On Friday, we dismiss at 1:00. Looking ahead, K, 1st, and 2nd grades are traveling to the Farm on Monday, November 4th. November 5th is a remote learning day at Mountain Park Elementary as our school is a voting site. We appreciate all you do to support our school.

Our Fall Festival is tomorrow! Leave a 🎃in the comments if we will see your family there.

Fall Retakes are November 18.

Thank to our very own Officer Johnson for sharing Trick or Treating Saftey tips with Kindergarten and reading a couple books too. ☺️

What a fun trip to Recreation Acres! Third, Fourth, and Fifth graders had a blast today on their first nine weeks rewards trip!

K-2 had an awesome time on their rewards trip to the park in King. What a way to celebrate 🎉

7 MORE DAYS….
So far Mrs. Norman’s class is in the lead to win the Class ice cream party. There is still time to get your change in…
**Thanks to those who have already given…all of your help large or small will make a huge difference in the lives of many. THANK YOU!! 😊

Hello Mountain Park. We have to run a double bus route this afternoon as the driver of bus 36 is sick. All riders of bus 36 will stay on campus in the media center until bus 37 gets back. When bus 37 gets back, the riders of bus 36 will be taken home. If your child rides bus 36 and you would like to pick him/her up after school instead of waiting for the bus, please come to the media center any time after 3:15 to pick your child up. Otherwise, all bus 36 riders will arrive home some time between 4:45 and 5:45. Thank you for your understanding.

Red Ribbon Week starts tomorrow!

Hello Mountain Park families. Thank you so much for all your hard work on fundraising! Your efforts have been outstanding and are greatly appreciated. Tomorrow, Monday, October 21st is the last day of our fundraiser. Please make sure all monies are in by Wednesday, October 23rd. We will be announcing all of our winners soon. Our change drive for the SCS Education Foundation and small item collection for our student council’s sunshine boxes for western NC are still underway through the end of October. This week on Tuesday, all K, 1st, and 2nd graders who earned the reward trip will be traveling to Recreation Acres in King. On Wednesday, those who earned the trip in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be traveling to King. On Thursday, October 24th, we will celebrate Fire Prevention Day here at school with support from our local fire department. Thank you for your support of Mountain Park Elementary.

We have the most creative crazy hair day styles! Check out the time, effort and creativity that went into these styles.
Hat day was also a huge hit today!

In honor of National Boss Day and Principal Appreciation Month, we want to take a moment to celebrate Mrs. Lambert. We appreciate your guidance and dedication to Mountain Park. Thank you for your support and leadership.
