Good Evening Ravens!
This is your principal Molly Anderson.
Our school fundraiser will end on Tuesday, September 26th. Thank you for all your support with the fundraiser this school year.
Have a great evening!

The sixth-grade staff has chosen a Student of the Week for September 18-22. This student exhibits enormous self-control, self-awareness, and integrity. She is always prepared, always works to the best of her ability, isn't afraid to take a risk, and leads others through her actions. She has a great personality, knows her strengths and her weaknesses, and goes beyond expectations every day. This week, we are pleased and proud to recognize Lyric Reynolds as our Student of the Week. We appreciate you leading the way on the 6th-grade hall!

Congratulations go out to Ryan Surratt for finding a Golden Ticket this afternoon!

In a thrilling clash on the soccer field Thursday, our girls' soccer team showcased their prowess, determination, and exceptional teamwork as they emerged victorious with a commanding 5-0 win against Chestnut Grove. Brooke Collins finished the game with 3 goals while Piper Halstead and Lexzi Chavez both had 1.

Ben Marion from the City of King discussed water treatment with our 8th-grade students today. They learned about turbidity, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection. This aligns with their study of water in Science class. Students discovered the importance of our water treatment system and the people who keep our water clean and healthy.

Students in Mrs. Dalton's social studies classes are wrapping up their unit on Ancient Egypt by "mummifying" tomatoes. The students will unwrap their pharaohs (tomatoes) in 5 weeks to reveal the results of mummification.

Pilot Mountain Middle School is extremely proud to announce that we exceeded growth for the 2022/23 school year. The growth index score must be at least 2.0 or higher to exceed growth and PMMS had a score of 7.09. This growth score places PMMS within the top 5% of growth in the state among all schools. In addition, our school performance composite score is 75, which designates PMMS as a B school.
This is a huge accomplishment, so we are extremely proud of our students and staff. Go Ravens!
