There will be a meeting for 6th grade band students and parents on August 28th. Sessions will begin at 5:30, 6:00, and 6:30 pm. Please attend the session that works best in your schedule.
If you have not completed the Annual Update in the PowerSchool Parent Portal, please do so as soon as possible. If you need assistance, call the school and ask to speak to Mrs. Adams.
Yearbooks are currently on sale. You can purchase one online at jostensyearbooks.com or you can send in the payment with your child. The total cost of the yearbook including tax is $37.45.

Each week, the sixth grade will recognize a "Student of the Week". These students are selected for their leadership attributes and their contribution to making PMMS top-notch!
This week, we recognize Mayrin Rodriguez-Perez. Mayrin is always prepared, on-task, and working hard. She comes with a positive attitude and is always willing to help others around her. She is a leader on our hallway in her efforts and attitude. We are proud to recognize Mayrin as our Student of the Week for this week.

NO COST BREAKFAST & LUNCH for ALL Elementary & Middle School students as part of the Community Eligibility Provision or CEP.
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a USDA school meal funding option that enables schools to provide free meals to students. Just like textbooks and computers, under CEP, school meals are available to students at no cost to them at designated schools.
Families with High School students are encouraged to apply for free & reduced meals using the traditional process. Families that receive FNS benefits from DSS do not need to apply!

As a culminating activity on the study of early man, 6th-grade students in Social Studies class stepped back in time to create their own primitive drawings. Students quickly realized how difficult it is to write a story on "animal hide", using sticks, paint, and no words.
Our 6th-grade class has been studying about graphing in the coordinate plane.
Today, to review skills, we completed a cooperative Quiz Quiz Trade activity. Classmates quizzed each other on skills related to graphing points in the coordinate plane.
