We celebrate National I.T. Professionals Day on the third Tuesday of every September, on September 17th this year, to recognize the technical experts — network engineers, system administrators, database admins, and many more types of I.T. professionals — who make sure our computer systems run smoothly. It takes a solid set of skills and talents to fill the shoes of an I.T. pro so, today, we say thanks to the people who come to fix our devices when they stop working the way they should — the behind-the-scenes operators without whom we’d be back in front of an archaic chalkboard, doing things the hard way.
Today Rockford Gators celebrated International Dot Day with listening to the virtual read aloud with the author, Peter H. Reynolds. They learned about the values of growth mindset. They also celebrated the first day of "Start with Hello" week by wearing green and designing their own name tags to wear for the day!

This is an important message for students who ride bus 53:
Bus 53 will not run today, Monday, September 16. Unfortunately, we are unable to secure a driver. Students who ride bus 53 will need transportation to school this morning and should be picked up in the car line this afternoon.
Rockford's SAVE Promise Club will be hosting Start with Hello week at our school this week (September 16-19). We will have a special dress up theme for each day. Start with Hello Week has a purpose to promote inclusivity, kindness, and a sense of community in schools. The week is part of the Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) program, a nonprofit organization that aims to prevent violence in schools, homes, and communities. We will have educational activities all week on inclusion and building friendships!
Note: Wednesday is school picture day, attachments can be removed before pictures.
