Exciting Science Fun in Fourth Grade! 🧪⚡
Our Fourth Graders had a fantastic time during a visit from Mr. Edwards from the Science Institute! He brought his Snap Circuit kits, and the students got hands-on experience exploring different types of circuits and learning how they work. The kids loved building their own circuits and seeing science in action. A big thank you to Mr. Edwards for sparking curiosity and bringing science to life in our classroom!
"Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, a day that changed our nation forever. We reflect on the bravery of first responders, the resilience of survivors, and the spirit of unity that brought us together in the face of tragedy. As we teach our students about this significant moment in history, we also celebrate the values of courage, compassion, and hope. Let us never forget the importance of coming together as a community to support one another."

NATIONAL READ A BOOK DAY | SEPTEMBER 6
National Read a Book Day is observed annually on September 6th. National Read a Book Day invites us ALL to grab a book we might enjoy and spend the day reading.
Don't keep it to yourself. Share the experience! Read aloud either to children or to grandparents. Read to your pets or to your stuffed animals and plants.
Reading improves memory and concentration as well as reduces stress. Older adults who spend time reading show a slower cognitive decline and tend to participate in more mentally stimulating activities over their lifetime. Books are an inexpensive entertainment, educational tool and time machine too!

Today, Mrs. Martin’s 5th-grade science classes had a hands-on anatomy lesson! 🧪 The students got up close with chicken wings to see how muscles, tendons, and bones work together to create movement. 🦴💪 They explored the mechanics behind every flex and stretch, learning just how similar our own muscles and tendons are. What a fun and fascinating way to bring science to life! 🧠✨
