"Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, a day that changed our nation forever. We reflect on the bravery of first responders, the resilience of survivors, and the spirit of unity that brought us together in the face of tragedy. As we teach our students about this significant moment in history, we also celebrate the values of courage, compassion, and hope. Let us never forget the importance of coming together as a community to support one another."

✨🔬 Our 2nd graders had a blast being scientists today! They explored matter with a fun experiment—Oobleck! Is it a liquid? Is it a solid? Turns out, it’s a little of both! 🧪💚 What a great way to make science come alive! 🌟

🧪💪 Our 5th graders had an exciting hands-on science lesson this week! They learned about how muscles work by dissecting chicken wings and observing how muscles, tendons, and bones function together. What a fun way to see science in action! 🔬✨

International Literacy Day takes place on September 8 every year to raise awareness and concern for literacy problems that exist within our own local communities as well as globally. International Literacy Day was founded by proclamation of The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO, in 1966 “to remind the public of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights.” International Literacy Day brings ownership of the challenges of illiteracy back home to local communities where literacy begins, one person at a time.
