Surry Central High School seniors are making their mark! 🌟 🎓
Today, seniors completed their senior walk, visiting all of our elementary and middle schools in the Central District. They were greeted with cheers, high-fives, and smiles as they walked the halls where their educational journey began. It's a beautiful reminder of how far they've come and the bright futures ahead. Congratulations, seniors! We're so proud of you! 🎉 #ClassOf2024 #SeniorSpotlight

Good Evening Mountaineers! This is your principal Matt Scott with this week’s updates.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We have the best teachers in Surry County here at Mountain Park and I know you want to join me in thanking them for their hard work and dedication to our students. We have special treats planned to celebrate our teachers all week so stay tuned for the fun that will come from those celebrations.
We will have Math Monday tomorrow after school until 4:00. Tuesday is a Spirit Day at 13 Bones for our school. We will receive a portion of the purchases made at 13 Bones for lunch, carryout, or supper. Please consider helping us out if you can eat at 13 Bones on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the winners from the Superentendent’s Art Contest will have a field trip to the Andy Griffith Playhouse. Thursday our Pre-K class will have a field trip to The Farm and we will host our Spring Concert that night at 6:30.
Our Spring Concert is Thursday evening at 6:30. Please have students to the school by 6:20, dressed in Spring colors, if possible. Ms. Marshall and all the students have been working hard all semester to prepare for this. I hope you will make time to join us Thursday for what I’m sure will be a wonderful concert.
Transition Night for next year’s 6th-graders is May 7th from 6:00-7:00 at Central Middle School. This is a great opportunity to meet teachers and administrators at the Middle School, as well as learn the layout of the campus.
Looking ahead, we will have EOGs on May 14 and 15 for 3rd-5th grades, and 5th grade Science EOG on May 17th. 5th Grade will have their promotion ceremony on May 23 at 9:00. Please mark these important dates on your calendar.
Spring pictures or money, if you want to purchase them, must be turned in this week by Friday. Student Transportation Verification forms need to be completed and returned by Friday also. Even if you are not riding a bus next year, we need that documented and sent back.
Those are all the announcements for tonight. I look forward to seeing our Mountaineers back on campus tomorrow.

Come out to 13 Bones on Tuesday to support Mountain Park! Be sure to tell them you are supporting Mountain Park Elementary.

Have you heard? Our Spirit Night at 13 Bones is coming up this Tuesday! We can't wait to see you there.
