3.24.24 Good Evening Mountaineers! This is your principal Matt Scott with this week’s updates. This week, we will be celebrating Say Something Week as part of the Sandy Hook Promise. The students and staff will be dressing up as a reminder to stand against bullying and violence. We will be talking with the students about the importance of including everyone, being able to recognize when someone around them is struggling, and seeking help from a trusted adult when needed. The flyers are posted around school and on our Facebook page. The spirit days are as follows: Monday is Superhero or Trusted Adult Day, Tuesday is Twin Day, Wednesday is Empowerment Day and we’ll wear workout gear, Thusday is Nerd Day because Nerds are Cool! We will have Math Monday tomorrow after school until 4:00. On Tuesday, our Grow Strong team will practice after school until 4:00. On Wednesday, the Good News Club will meet until 4:30. We will also celebrate our DoNut Give Up award winners along with our Student Leaders of the Month on Wednesday. Report cards will go home Thursday, March 28th. Please review your child’s report card with them, and make goals for the remainder of the quarter, as we encourage everyone to finish the school year strong! Please remember the importance of attendance; arriving at school on time each day, being well rested and ready to learn is of the utmost importance. Tardies and early dismissals should be limited as much as possible to ensure your child receives as much instruction as possible. Our Yearbook sale closes March 30th. There are links on our website and Facebook, or there is a link in this message if you receive it as an email. https://strawbridge.fotomerchanthv.com/search/YB28029 If you would like to purchase a yearbook for another student, you may do that by calling the office. Our Mountain Park PTO apparel sale has begun. A flyer will came home last week. There is an online site you can use to order. The link is posted to our website and Facebook. We will dismiss Thursday at 1:00 and there will be no school on Friday and Monday in celebration of the Easter Holiday. Those are all the announcements for tonight. I look forward to seeing our Mountaineers back on campus tomorrow.
