This week is American Education Week. This week is designated to celebrate educators and to honor the individuals who work to ensure every student receives the quality education they deserve. It takes a team for a successful education, and we are grateful for the hard work of our families, teachers, staff, and students here at Mountain Park Elementary.

The public portion of the event will begin at approximately 1:00 pm in the gym and the awards ceremony will follow. We’d love for you to come support our Mountaineer Engineers.

Principal Update 11.7.23
Good Evening Mountaineers! This is your principal Matt Scott with a quick update.
My message on Sunday mistakenly said that Good News will meet on Wednesday and Thursday. Good News will only meet on Wednesday, like normal.
Today your Rada fundraising books were sent home with students. This is an easy fundraiser and great for Christmas presents. There are links on our website and Facebook page that take you directly to the fundraiser attached to our school.
On Thursday, we want to invite our students to wear Red, White, and Blue as we celebrate and honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
Also on Thursday, we have a special treat coming home with all students. Carolina Ink has generously donated a Mountain Park shirt to all our students and staff. We’ll be sending those home on Thursday.
Those are the only updates for tonight. I look forward to seeing our Mountaineers back on campus tomorrow.

Pre K started their pumpkin experiment last week.

Last week, Mrs. Pierce and Mrs. Arrington’s classes enjoyed a tasty science experiment combining a liquid and a solid to make a gas. These purple fizzy cows were a refreshing treat in the heat.
