💙🚓 Law Enforcement Appreciation Day 🚓💙

Today, Rockford Elementary proudly honors and thanks our local law enforcement officers for their dedication, bravery, courage, and commitment to keeping our students, staff, and community safe. Your service does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for the protection, guidance, and support you provide each day. We appreciate the positive relationships you build with our students and the support you provide every day.

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD) is observed annually on January 9th to recognize the crucial, often dangerous, work of police officers and show support for their service to communities. People show appreciation by wearing blue, sending thank-you notes to local agencies, lighting blue lights in windows (Project Blue Light), sharing positive stories on social media with #LEAD, or simply thanking an officer in person.

Thank you for all you do—today and always! 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️💙
