Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a U.S. federal holiday observed on the third Monday in January, honoring the life and achievements of the civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and is designated as a national day of service, encouraging volunteerism to build a more equitable "Beloved Community". The day commemorates his fight for racial equality, justice, and nonviolent social change, with celebrations including marches, speeches, and community service projects.

This month, half of our 4th Grade SAVE Promise group came together to teach the school about the importance of Communication Skills! Communication is our leadership trait this month, and students will be working on learning skills to share their ideas clearly and effectively. They also shared information on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and how he used communication skills to make powerful impacts on others by spreading kindness!

All donations are due to Coach Fitzgerald by Friday, January 16. Please turn in all the money at one time.
