National Bullying Prevention Month
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to remind our students that kindness, respect, and inclusion matter every day.
At Rockford Elementary School, we encourage our students to stand up for one another, speak up when something isn't right, and make sure everyone feels welcome, safe, and included.
Together, we can make a difference by choosing kindness and being a good friend.
Be kind. Be respectful. Be an upstander.

Congratulations to Abbigail Miller, our Student of the Month for September!
Abbigail was chosen for demonstrating Accountability and being a great example of this important character trait. We are proud of you, Abbigail!
Keep up the great work!

September Staff Leader of the Month is Erin Phillips. This year, Erin made the jump to teaching Kindergarten, bringing her incredible instructional skills right to our youngest learners. But she didn't just stop at that. She also helps lead our SAVE Promise Club. She is an active member of the MTAC (Literacy Committee). On top of that, she's even starting a new K-2 Science Club! Erin is exactly the kind of educator who takes total ownership of her students' success and our school's culture. She is always going above and beyond, consistently stepping up to fill gaps and bring fresh ideas to life.

August Staff Leader of the Month is Tina Bryant. Tina is always aware of how the building looks and that things are kept clean and safe for all students and staff. She takes pride in the job she does and is aware of how it makes the school look as a whole if it isn't kept clean and neat. Tina makes sure that the kids and staff are provided with what they need. Being aware of her responsibilities makes things look great for us all.

Congratulations to Chase Torres.
Chase found a Golden Ticket inside his chocolate box, which means he has earned a FREE pass to Urban Air!

Early safety habits start with our youngest learners!
September 25 is National "If You See Something, Say Something®" Awareness Day.
At Rockford Elementary School, we teach our students that keeping our school safe is a team effort. We encourage all elementary students to spot, report, and prevent by sharing anything unusual with a trusted adult. Tell a child today: If something looks unsafe, scary, or out of place, always say something to a teacher, parent, or principal!
