Hello, Rockford Gators! This is a reminder to parents with students in 4th grade, 5th grade, and chorus. The 4/5 PTO program will take place in the RES gym on Thursday, October 19th. It begins at 6 o'clock. Please have your students come to the music room at 5:30 to line up. Remember that we are still selling front-row seat reservations for $10 dollars. There is a limited number of seats, and they are first come first served. If you wish to purchase a seat, please send the money to the school with your child along with a note of how many seats you wish to reserve. All proceeds will go towards the music and chorus program. Thank you!

School Cash
This is to inform you that Surry County Schools will now be offering SchoolCash Online as its preferred method of payment for all school fees, including everything from field trips to daycare fees. SchoolCash Online helps parents and community members pay school-related fees safely, quickly, and easily. By using SchoolCash Online, you help increase efficiency and security at your school by making payments directly into your school's bank account. This allows teachers and secretaries to focus on helping students, and not counting cash. In addition, you are immediately informed about school activities! Powered by KEV Group, SchoolCash Online is the industry leader in the management of school fees. This system puts all of the school-related fees for your student online for purchase. Schools post their items and activities and assign the relevant fees to your student, so you can then make purchases online. This allows you to stay informed about upcoming school activities while keeping track of the school fees that require your attention. You are now able to register: a simple task that takes less than two minutes by simply visiting https://surryco.schoolcashonline.com and clicking Register to get started. Should you encounter any difficulties, please contact the SchoolCash Online parent help desk by visiting schoolcashonline.com/Home/Support.

This is Mrs. Waters calling with weekly news. Monday will be day 5 in our specials rotation. Monday night we will have a Boy Scout interest meeting in the cafeteria at 5:30. Scholarships are available for eligible students. Our robotics team will practice on Monday and Wednesday after school and GROW Strong will practice on Tuesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, October 10, we will have Dairy Queen Spirit Night. RES will receive a portion of all proceeds, dine in and take out, between 5:30-9:00. Also on Tuesday our Chorus students will practice after school and our PTO will meet at 5:30 in the media center. On Wednesday our 3rd grade students will travel to The Farm. All parents who have not completed their annual student enrollment update should log in to the parent portal and complete this as soon as possible. It is crucial that we have up-to-date contact information for all students. We will dismiss school at 1:00 on Thursday and there will be no school for students on Friday, October 13th. Thank you for your support of our students and staff. I hope you have a great week.
