
Last Friday, students enjoyed a Halloween-themed Gator Day!









Mrs. Simmons’ second graders worked in fact and opinion by “cracking the cases”.









Good morning Gators! This is Mrs. Waters with weekly news. Monday will be day 1 in our specials rotation. On Monday, 1st quarter report cards will be sent home. Please take some time to celebrate your child’s success and set goals for the 2nd quarter. On Monday and Wednesday of this week, our robotics team will practice after school. On Thursday, our GROW strong team will practice. Also on Thursday our Chorus will practice after school. Please make sure your child has a note if they are staying for these practices. Our PTO will host a Fall Dance on Thursday night from 6:00-8:00 in the gym. Please make plans to join us for this fun event. This week we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week in honor of "Being Kind to Our Mind and Living Drug Free". We will all wear red to kick off this event. On Tuesday, students will wear their Halloween costumes. Please no masks or toy weapons. On Wednesday, we will dress as superheroes to show we have strong minds. To wrap up the week on Thursday, we will dress up as what we want to be to show we have bright futures. Finally, Friday, November 3rd is a teacher workday. There will be no school for students. Today our GROW Strong team had their annual Halloween Scavenger Hunt then celebrated the workout with some sweet treats.










5th grade had a great time working in small groups to complete a Bigfoot camping escape room activity today in PE. They had to complete puzzles and physical activities in their groups to move to the next levels.








Congratulations to Mrs. Custodio’s 5th grade class for being the first winners of the most laps run on the petition in PE!

Second-grade students kicked off SCS Gives week yesterday by wearing hats and wacky socks!



Special thanks to KDM Kustom Designs & More for donating this beautiful light-up trophy for Mrs. Fitzgerald’s PE classes. The trophy will be a roving trophy that will be passed from class to class based on which group can average the most laps in 5 minutes. #fitgators #mostlapsrun


Good morning Gators! This is Mrs. Waters with weekly news. Monday will be day 2 in our specials rotation. Our PTO will have a Halloween Smencil sale tomorrow. Sales will start after morning announcements and items are $1. Our robotics team will practice on Monday and Wednesday after school and GROW Strong will practice on Tuesday and Thursday. Also on Tuesday, our art club will meet after school, and on Friday after school, our SAVE Promise club will meet. Please make sure your child has a note to stay for these activities. Our Student Council will be selling Boo Grams on Tuesday and Wednesday. They will be $.50 each and include a sucker with a personalized note. Thursday, October 26th will be our pumpkin decorating contest. We can’t wait to see what our students have created! Finally, this week we will have spirit week to raise money for the SCS Education Foundation. The cost to participate is $1 for each day of participation.
