Yaquelin Juarez Rodriguez is a truly deserving recipient of the Volunteer of the Year award. Her dedication to the robotics program has made a meaningful and lasting impact on both the team and the students she has worked with throughout the season.
Yaquelin consistently went above and beyond by helping students practice and refine their scripts, providing guidance that strengthened not only their presentations but also their confidence. She created a supportive and encouraging environment, taking the time to work individually with students and ensure they felt prepared and capable.
Her commitment extended beyond regular practices. Yaquelin volunteered her time at the regional competition, where her support was invaluable, and she also accompanied the team to the state competition in Greensboro. At every step, she proved to be a dependable and encouraging presence, always willing to step in wherever needed.
What truly sets Yaquelin apart is the way she connects with students. They genuinely enjoy working with her because she takes the time to invest in them, personally and academically. Her patience, encouragement, and enthusiasm have helped students grow in confidence and perform at a higher level.
Yaquelin has been an essential part of the robotics program, and her contributions have left a positive and lasting impression on everyone involved. We are incredibly grateful for her service and proud to recognize her as the Volunteer of the Year.

National Library Week, April 1-25, 2026, is a time to celebrate the amazing contributions of libraries and librarians in our communities!

This week, our school is going to join together with the remainder of the county to recognize the importance of Blue Ribbon Week. On Friday, April 17th, our county held a ceremony to "Ring the Bell" in order to educate our youth on creating safe environments, along with honoring those who have experienced a lack of safety in their lives. Blue Ribbon Week is a week in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Below you will find our spirit week that we are encouraging our students to participate in to show their support for always creating safe environments!💙

Angie Flippen had this to say about Elia Martinez for the April Silver Apple Award.
The person I chose holds one title but serves in many roles. She is most often the first smile we see when we enter the building and the first good morning. She is a gentle voice of comfort to a sad, hurt, or sick child. She is a nurse when needed, an encourager when you are down, and a person who will pray for you. She will soon hold the title of teacher, and what a wonderful one she will be! She is willing to help you with questions concerning pay or will get those answers for you. She keeps us on track with getting our paperwork in so we get paid. In all of the roles she serves, I think her biggest one is friend Elia Martinez. I am so glad you are mine, and your service doesn’t go unnoticed.
