Students at Rockford Elementary recently had the chance to showcase their artistic talents by submitting artwork to the Superintendent’s Art Contest. Under the guidance of art teacher Mrs. Melissa Simpson, artwork was selected and showcased on Thursday, April 2nd.

We are excited to announce that the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Rockford Elementary! Even better, this is a Buy One, Get One FREE event. For every book purchased, students can choose another book for FREE! This is a wonderful opportunity for our eager readers to take home extra books and grow their love for reading.

Choosing their own books helps empower students and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. ❤️📖

Elidio is always working hard and making sure that whatever he may be doing is going to better the situation. Elidio is always CHOMPING showing school spirit, enthusiasm, and a commitment to doing his best each day. Britney Shelton goes above and beyond in the way she supports our robotics program. She not only dedicates her time to helping students problem-solve, design, and collaborate, but she does so with patience and genuine care. She takes the time to truly listen to students’ ideas and helps them refine their thinking rather than dismissing it. This creates an environment where students feel valued, heard, and confident sharing their thoughts. In addition to supporting students, Britney models active listening and respectful communication with colleagues. She approaches conversations with openness and empathy, making others feel understood and supported. Thank you for leading our students in how to be Considerate!

From improving fine motor skills to supporting independence and confidence, occupational therapists make a meaningful difference for so many students.

This month, we celebrate and support our multilingual learners and recognize the many languages, cultures, and experiences they bring to our school community. Multilingual students enrich our classrooms every day, and we are proud of the hard work they put into learning and growing.
